We’re a young couple from Split, born and raised by the sea. Like many, we started working during our student years – selling boat tours, working as crew members, and learning every detail of this business from the inside. After 10 years of working for various agencies, we finally decided to build something of our own.

 

That’s how Island Hopping Split was born.

 

Not out of a business trend, but out of a genuine love for the sea, our coast, and the people we host. We wanted to create a better experience – something more personal, more real, and more in tune with the soul of Dalmatia.

 

Why We Started Our Own Boat Tour Company

 

Over the years, we saw the same pattern repeat itself. Most agencies followed a mass-tourism model: as many people as possible, sent to the same few destinations that had become “brands” more than actual experiences.

 

Yes, Blue Cave and Blue Lagoon are beautiful. But in July and August, they’re no longer what they used to be. Dozens of boats arrive at the same time. Crowds line up. The charm gets lost.

 

Most guests don’t know this when booking. Local sellers on the Riva often push these tours as “must-see spots” — not because they offer the best experience, but because they’re easy to sell. That’s the truth.

 

But Dalmatia is much more than that.
